Employee Story Siggi Wiest, Lateral entrant It's never too late to become what you could have been
My name is Siggi Wiest, I've been working in marketing since 2018 and I'm a lateral entrant.
Hardly any résumé is straightforward - like many others, I came to my calling via detours. After completing my training as a wholesale and export merchant, I worked in logistics at Südpack in Ochsenhausen for 14 years. I also worked as a photographer/mini-jobber at the digital media agency DEC3 in Berkheim. Here I was able to gain great experience in the field of media and to learn.

Enthusiasm, skill, courage and that little bit of luck
It wasn't until late that I realised that my current job did not suit me and was no longer fun at all. If you have reached this point, you should switch. Sounds easy, it is too. At least I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. My preparations for all unsolicited applications were hardly finished when the Wölfle company approached me. My professional life suddenly changed by 180 degrees and I was suddenly working in marketing. What I mean to say: All you need is a little courage to apply in non-specialist or non-learned areas. That is why I am sure that if you want to change your job, you just have to put your talents in the foreground and be enthusiastic about something. Things that you have acquired in your free time can be used well in your job and you can constantly learn and gain experience.
In my personal experience, I can say that your own soft skills - enthusiasm, skill, courage and that little bit of luck can be the key to your dream job. Therefore, I would like to recommend everyone to be brave and write an application!
My passion - media, photography, communication, design, planning, social media, web, print products, videos have become my daily bread and I am very proud and grateful to be with the wolves.
