Hello Jonas, it's great that we can ask you a few questions today about your apprenticeship at Wölfle. We are delighted to have you on our apprentice team, and we look forward to your very personal insights!

Jonas, why did you decide to do your apprenticeship at Wölfle? A lot of teamwork, operating electrical equipment, and a short commute to work.

Was it immediately clear to you that you wanted to become a Warehouse Logistics Specialist? No! Unfortunately, due to the corona crisis, almost all student internships were canceled.

How did your application phase go? I sent in my application and was invited to an interview one week later. Following that, I was able to participate in a trial day, which I enjoyed very much.

Do you still remember your start at Wölfle? How were the first few weeks for you? Our apprentice trip to Ulm to 'Face Off' and the icebreaker activities we did together stuck out in my memory. In the first few weeks, you still feel very unsure of yourself and you have to ask and find out a lot of things. But that settles down quite quickly and you grow into it more and more.

What does your daily work routine look like at our company? In the morning, my workday begins with checking in with my instructor. Together we discuss the upcoming tasks and I ask where I can assist or what projects are scheduled. After my tasks have been assigned to me, I work independently on the various projects or assignments. In this regard, order picking is a large part of my daily tasks.

What do you particularly like about your apprenticeship? I particularly like the good working atmosphere and the working hours. Completing a process by moving material from A to B is something I really enjoy.

What prerequisites do you need to bring with you to start an apprenticeship as a Warehouse Logistics Specialist? To start an apprenticeship as a Warehouse Logistics Specialist, an interest in logistical processes and organization is required above all. In addition, you should be a team player and want to work independently.

How often do you have vocational school and what is the schedule? We have vocational school every Monday and Thursday. Our subjects at vocational school are specifically tailored to the chosen training occupation, such as business subjects combined with general education subjects as you know them from regular school. The vocational schools work closely with the training companies to ensure that the necessary specialist knowledge and skills for the future profession are acquired. In the end, we have to take an exam as is standard for schools.

Which event or project stuck out in your memory the most? Every last Friday of the month, our "Happy Friday" takes place. The company provides free coffee and snacks, and the breakfast break is extended by 15 minutes. What I particularly like about this is that you have the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from other departments.

Do you already have a plan after your apprenticeship? What do your future plans look like? After my apprenticeship, I would first like to gain experience in logistics in order to continue my education and advance in my career later on.

What advice can you give to prospective Warehouse Logistics Specialists who are about to graduate from school? Be motivated and eager to learn every day. Use every free minute to ask questions and get new input regarding your profession. Focus on good teamwork; it makes your workday easier and helps you on your way to the exam.

Thank you very much, Jonas, for your great insights into your apprenticeship as a Warehouse Logistics Specialist.
