Saturday, early morning:
While most people are still asleep in the idyllic little village of "Goppertshofen" near Ochsenhausen, Simon is already getting his BBQ smoker ready for the evening. The pellet compartment is filled, and the grill rack is already loaded with a beautiful 500 g steak from his trusted meat supplier. Now, it takes intuition and a lot of practice. To be able to serve the meat perfectly cooked later on, it takes a bit more than just amateur enthusiasm. Simon began his grilling adventure with various charcoal and gas grills, followed by a beautiful BBQ pellet grill that he treated himself to. By that point at the latest, it was clear that grilling meant more to Simon than just preparing and providing food – it developed into his great passion, and that is exactly how he celebrates it.

It is the joy of creating something extraordinary from ordinary ingredients
Almost every weekend, Simon meticulously prepares for his grilling days. Perfect temperature, loving preparation of the ingredients, and the grilling apron is undoubtedly a must. As the sun gradually rises a bit higher in the sky, you can already smell the tempting aroma of sizzling meat. This sensory overload is already well known in Simon's neighborhood and feels almost like an invitation. The sizzling of juicy steaks, the crackling of perfectly seasoned chicken, and the smoky scent of slow-cooked ribs fill the air in Simon's garden. It is for exactly these reasons that Simon celebrates and lives the BBQ culture so much.

You cannot talk about the fascination of the BBQ grill without mentioning the delicious flavors it imparts. The combination of open fire, aromatic wood smoke, and the caramelization of sugars in marinades creates a symphony of flavors that pampers our palates. The searing heat of the grill locks in the juices, ensuring juicy and tender meat, while the addition of smoky nuances gives the dishes depth and complexity. "Exactly this combination makes the difference compared to 'just quickly lighting the grill'," Simon explains to us as he lifts the heavy lid of his BBQ grill to briefly check the temperature of his Tomahawk steak.

Grilling connects and slows things down
In this day and age, everything has to happen quickly; even in our free time, we have trouble winding down, reading a book, sitting on a chair for about 30 minutes, or simply watching a piece of meat cook. While grilling, Simon can switch off and forget the stress of everyday life. These are exactly the moments that matter to him: enjoying the moment in the company of family, friends, and colleagues along with delicious grilled food. Grilling creates a relaxed and informal atmosphere where conversations can unfold. Memories are made that last a lifetime. At the same time, the passion and fascination for grilling are timeless. It is passed down from generation to generation and is constantly evolving.
