For an international automobile manufacturer, Wölfle developed a climate control unit for two production vehicles within one year. The goal was to integrate a fully-fledged automatic climate control system into existing vehicle platforms.

Thanks to the close cooperation between the HVAC, electronics, and software departments, the entire development process, including validation, was efficiently implemented.

The developed heating and climate control unit regulates the interior temperature using a model-based control algorithm that continuously takes air stratification and temperature into account. Full integration into the vehicle electronics enabled both series production and a retrofit solution.
